Got Bandcamp?

Bandcamp rocks. I buy a ton of music, and searching Bandcamp is top of my list when shopping. I know buying on Bandcamp supports the artists I follow, especially on Bandcamp Fridays.
Once you’ve received these orders, completing Bandcamp orders yourself takes a lot of time, energy, and work. You have to store, pick, pack, ship, run to the post office, and handle customer service for each order – even when you’re touring, making new music, working another job, or vacationing.
Spinney Media can help. For as little as $2 a month, we store and ship your physical albums, including those selling on Bandcamp, so you don’t have to. You keep 100% of your sales. And you never have to rush to the post office again.
How It Works
1. Sign up for an account at www.spinneymedia.com
2. Pick a subscription level and add your album details
3. Send us your music
Once we’ve received your inventory, we’ll let you know. Then you can
4. Go to your Bandcamp account
5. Click the Add Fulfillment Partner tool at the top of your Merch Orders page
6. Invite “info@spinneymedia.com” to be your fulfillment partner
We’ll confirm and handle your Bandcamp orders going forward.
What Does it Cost?
Bandcamp pays you directly for each album sale plus shipping and handling fees, so we don’t receive any money directly from Bandcamp.
When we ship each Bandcamp order, we charge your payment type on file for our (often discounted) cost to ship your album + $2 to cover our shipping box and labor.
How Much Should I Charge for Shipping and Handling?
We get and pass through to you some solid US and international postal discounts. As of December, 2024, we recommend charging your fans these rates which will, on average, cover what we bill you:
* US: $6.99 for the first item; $1 for each additional item in the same order
* International: $15.37 for the first item; $2 for each additional item in the same order
You can, of course, charge your Bandcamp customers more or less than the amount above. This will just give you an idea of what we typically charge for shipping and handling for a typical Bandcamp order.
We’ll update this blog as postal rates increase or we win additional volume discounts on our shipping costs.
